In this initiative, researchers will leverage real-world traffic video feeds to architect and deploy sophisticated real-time object detection systems. The goal is to accurately identify, classify, and track vehicles, pedestrians, and other critical traffic elements. Participants will work with foundational pre-trained models and extend these architectures to detect custom objects specific to the unique context of Nepalese urban traffic. The project will culminate in the creation of an intelligent system capable of monitoring traffic flow, identifying congestion patterns, and providing data-driven insights for urban planning and management.
