Strategic Research Domains

Our research agenda is organized into three synergistic strategic domains:

  • Robotics & Autonomous Systems: We are at the forefront of developing next-generation autonomous agents, with a special focus on drone-based systems. Our research encompasses autonomous navigation, motion planning, and the seamless integration of multi-sensory perception systems using Video, Radar, and Lidar to create truly intelligent platforms capable of operating in complex, unstructured environments.
  • Artificial Intelligence & Visual Intelligence: We specialize in developing novel deep learning models that can perceive, interpret, and reason about the world. This includes creating advanced pattern recognition tools and decentralized learning models that can process the rich, heterogeneous data streams from fused sensors suits to enable robust decision making in autonomous systems.
  • Data Visualization & Sensor Fusion: We specialize in translating the intricate, often opaque, outputs of multi-modal sensor systems and machine intelligence into intuitive, interactive, and insightful visual paradigms. Our work in fusing point louds from Lidar with radar signatures and video feeds creates comprehensive situational awareness pictures, making complex data accessible and actionable for human operators.
